Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lance called in advance. He was very kind and respectful to my 84 yrs old mother. He explained what he found, his treatment and expected results. He also said that if we see active insects after 2 weeks, to call for a follow up treatment. Make sure you keep Lance around for a long time of excellent customer service!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We highly recommend Coastal, but Tremaine in particular has always done a great job when doing the treatments for our house. He's incredibly thorough and pays close attention to the issues we describe. Not sure if you can request a specific technician, but if Tremaine happens to be the one that shows up, you should feel confident that he'll do excellent work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mr. Cedric is amazing and keeps our home pest free. He always has a kind word and listens to our "pest" concerns. My kids believe spiders, ants and rollie-pollies belong outside and with his handwork that is where they remain. Thank you.

Virginia Beach is one of the most distinctive coastal communities on the East Coast, shaped by the Atlantic Ocean, historic landmarks, and a wide range of neighborhoods. While oceanfront living and outdoor activity are part of what make the area special, the same coastal conditions also create unique, year-round pest challenges.

At Coastal Pest Control, we’ve proudly served Virginia Beach and the greater Hampton Roads area since 1993. We operate from a centrally located local office near the Oceana area, allowing us to efficiently service all areas of Virginia Beach. Our office can be reached at (757) 486-0234, enabling our technicians to respond quickly and provide consistent, dependable service throughout the city.

A Coastal City with Deep Roots and Constant Activity

Virginia Beach is more than a resort destination — it’s a working coastal city with a long maritime history. Annual events like the Neptune Festival draw thousands of visitors to the oceanfront each year, increasing activity around homes, restaurants, and rental properties near the beach.

Just north of the oceanfront, the Cape Henry Lighthouse stands as one of the oldest landmarks in the region. Built in the late 1700s at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay, it reflects how long this area has been shaped by coastal weather, moisture, and movement — the same factors that continue to influence pest activity today.

Virginia Beach is also well known for its strong connection to the ocean lifestyle. The East Coast Surfing Championships highlight the city’s surf culture and bring increased seasonal foot traffic to the beachfront each year. Later in the summer, August marks peak offshore fishing season, when marlin fishing draws boats and anglers out of local inlets and into the Atlantic. These seasonal patterns often coincide with increased humidity, heat, and property use — conditions that can contribute to higher pest pressure in coastal homes and businesses.

Virginia Beach has a deep military history that continues to shape the city today. A key part of that history is Naval Air Station Oceana, established during World War II and now recognized as the U.S. Navy’s Master Jet Base. For decades, NAS Oceana has played a vital role in naval aviation training and operations, influencing local growth, neighborhoods, and the strong connection between Virginia Beach and the military community.

Pest Control Challenges in Virginia Beach

Living near the coast comes with many advantages, but it also creates an environment where pests can thrive. In Virginia Beach, we commonly treat:

Ant infestations encouraged by sandy soil
Roaches that thrive in warm, humid conditions
Moisture-related pests in crawl spaces
Seasonal invaders during temperature shifts
Rodent activity near waterways, dunes, and wooded areas

Our pest control programs are designed specifically for coastal environments, rather than generic, one-size-fits-all treatments.

Serving Neighborhoods Throughout Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach is made up of many distinct neighborhoods, each with different construction styles, layouts, and environmental factors. With our centrally located local office, we are able to efficiently serve homeowners and businesses throughout the city, including:

Sandbridge
Great Neck
Kempsville
Oceanfront / Resort Area
Hilltop
Princess Anne
Red Mill
Green Run
Salem
Bayside
Pungo

Whether you’re near the oceanfront, in inland residential neighborhoods, or in more rural areas, our technicians understand the local conditions that influence pest activity.

Residential & Commercial Pest Control in Virginia Beach

We provide reliable pest control services for a wide range of properties, including:

Single-family homes
Condos and townhomes
Retail spaces
Offices and commercial buildings
Rental and vacation properties

Many Virginia Beach homeowners and businesses choose our quarterly pest control programs to maintain consistent, year-round protection.
